Google has announced they are establishing a Google Android team in Taiwan, this Android team will be charged with supporting numerous hardware maker who are in the process of developing Android based products.

Although initially the Android team was thought to be for supporting Android based netbooks, Google had now denied that and confirmed the Android team would be supporting Android platform smartphone business.

That of course doesn’t rule out an Android based netbook in future but the official line is the Taiwan Android team is there for the smartphone market.
