BlackBerry maker, Research In Motion has now finalised their acquisition of Certicom Corp for the sum of Cdn$3.00 per Certicom common share.
According to a post by pr-usa.net, Research In Motion co-CEO Jim Balsillie says “This acquisition further demonstrates our focus on delivering the best solutions for security-conscious businesses and government organizations around the world.”
The CEO of Certicom, Karna Gupta, commented that by joining Research In Motion, Certicom now has a greater opportunity to build of their strong foundations to deliver world class security solutions, and that Certicom has for many years worked with RIM and have seem tremendous results produced by the combined technologies of the companies.
