Apple place 3.2 megapixel camera order for next generation iPhone

We’ve all hear the whispers of a new Apple iPhone is on the horizon, and today we have a tasty titbit of a rumour that’s circulating the net waves that the next generation Apple iPhone could well be carrying a 3.2 megapixel camera.

According to a report over at electronista, OmniVision has received orders from Apple for 3.2 megapixel CMOS sensors. But it doesn’t stop there either, because apparently they have also secured a deal with Apple to supple 5 megapixel sensors as well.

So, now the question is will we be seeing a 3.2 camera or a 5 megapixel camera on the next generation Apple iPhone? Or maybe the 5MP is for the Apple netbook, guess only time will tell.
