3.0 iPhone looks good and apps on the banned list

The Apple iTunes App Store and Apple SDK doesn’t allow certain applications to exploit Apple iPhone features like video recording and streaming, multimedia SMS, Bluetooth file sharing, copy and paste, tethering and the like.

Computerworld says Apple also block app that fit the Apple iPhone’s usability such as direct GPS access, competing email clients, podcasting, and web browser clients, and they have a list of 21 applications that run on jailbroken Apple iPhones.

Hey also say that with the arrival of 3.0 iPhone firmware things will be a little better as some of their capabilities will ship with the firemware however most wont, you can hit up the link for that list of apps.

The thing is now that the Apple iPhone is widespread across the world, do you think Apple will ever open up the iPhone to all available apps?
