Nokia, Boldly Goes Where No Handset Has Gone Before, well not really but I just had to get that line in somewhere, and okay, yes I am Star Trek fan so was delighted when I saw this post on the Crave announcing there is to be a new Nokia 5800 XpressMusic Star Trek Special Edition mobile phone.

So yeah, good news, Nokia has tied their 5800 XpressMusic in with the latest blockbuster Star Trek movie, and along with this Star Trek 5800 XpressMusic comes the usual array of wallpapers, ringtones, and even a Phaser application…cool.

Obviously a must have for most ardent Star Trek fans and one that Nokia is probably going to bank a large amount of cash on. After all the original Star Trek communicator was the forerunner to the mobile phone, don’t you agree?
