Can Mobile Devices Replace Home Hubs?

The mobile phone industry is buzzing with developments and rumours, and intomobile speculates that mobile phones may just replace your home hub in the not too distant future.

They hold up a couple of smartphones as evidence of their claim such as the Samsung i8910 Omnia HD that has been promoted for its media handling, which could become a game changer.

And then there is the Apple’s new tablet device which touts HD and maybe even 1080i/1080p. They further speculate if both devices hit 60 percent of target audience then two devises will be able to plug into home elements and act as a type of media hub.

So what do you think, do they have it right? Can mobile devices replace home hubs?
