The LiMo Foundation has now wrapped up specification work on their 2nd mobile phone release namely the LiMo R2 announced the Limo Foundation.
The major improvements to the LiMo R2 over the LiMo R1 incorporate enhanced support for location based services, integrated PIM functionality, advanced security applications such as VPN and such, and media improvements.
The most important improvement on the LiMo R2 though is that it integrates the OMAP’s BONDI 1.0 spec that enables carriers and manufacturers and developers a common target platform for mobile web applications and widgets.
