The last Blackberry smartphone with touch screen was the BlackBerry Storm and was plagued with bugs and performance issues, and it is though that many returned it and opted for the iPhone.

However this didn’t deter RIM and there is now rumours of a BlackBerry Storm 2, news on the BlackBerry Onxy and the release of the BlackBerry Tour.

But RIM isn’t about to stop as it is rumoured that the BlackBerry Storm 2 will be released on Verizon sometime later this year. However some specs have come to the surface such as it will include WiFi, 3.2 megapixel camera, and have BlackBerry OS 5.0 and a SurePress touch screen which will hopefully surpass the original, reports the examiner.
