BlackBerry gains another Twitter App Tweetcaster

BlackBerry smartphone are gaining a new Twitter application from Handmark and is called Tweetcaster, which they say delivers an “elegant mobile experience that makes using Twitter on a BlackBerry smartphone fast, easy, and fun.”

Tweetcaster for BlackBerry offers the ability to toggle between multiple accounts…picture sharing…URL shortening…GPS locator to find Twitter friends near you…real time trending topics list…and one step @reply and retweet capabilities.

Tweetcaster is available for BlackBerry smartphone that incorporate a trackball and also the BlackBerry Storm smartphone, and as for price…it’s a free download so why not check it out.

This application looks very good, you have the capabilities to search for people on twitter that are near your location, you can have two twitter accounts open at the same time. Again the look and feel to it are better than twitterberry, but that is where it ends. It would not send me updates, and even when I went into the application and refreshed it would not show me updated tweets. So it sucks right now, hopefully once they get update versions it would be better.
