It’s the news that we’ve been waiting for Palm Pre available now for just $99 at Best Buy. The news comes just a couple of days after Sprint CEO Dan Hesse announced at a conference that it’s “too early to tell”.

If the Pre is a hit while discussions are going on about Android, the latest Best Buy ad clearly shows Palms baby on sale at an amazing price of just $99 on a two year contract.

This will surely encourage further interest and of course sales, but who knows if this is just a one week special offer or a more permanent drop in price. According to Best Buy marketing manager John Bernier the Pre is $199 and that the error is in the process of being corrected.
