Didn’t you just know Apple was going to move fast on this one? Intomobile reports that Apple has released the iPhone OS 3.0.1 update which patches the iPhone SMS message bug which we reported on earlier and can be located (here)

Obviously the public announcement of the SMS threat at the Black Hat event by 2 security researchers motivated Apple into pushing out iPhone OS 3.0.1 to fix the bug.

The iPhone OS 3.0.1 update with bug fix is available via iTunes so all you need do is connect and update your handset.
