The fastest growing sector for UK visitors from PCs and Laptops are mobile phone websites, that’s according to research from the Neilson Company.

Nokia saw a really strong growth in traffic up 203% while Vodafone traffic jumped 91% followed by O2 at 79%. The sector has been boosted by services which allow customers to recycle their mobile phone for cash. One company Envirofone.com experienced a massive 429% increase to 616,000 UK unique.

The much talked about controversial directory service 118 800, which offers UK mobile phone members, contributed highly to the increase in traffic growth. The service was launched in June 2009, the main way to opt out of the service is to visit the website directly. Source – mad.co.uk
