Great start to the week, with some fantastic BlackBerry Desktop Manager news.

The BlackBerry Desktop Manager version 5.0.1.18 which unfortunately is not currently available, shows off a great new icon that gives an exciting feature to your desktop software IP modem (also in version .16)

The new feature will allow you to simply set up your BlackBerry so that it can be tethered as a modem to your laptop. Watch out for your carrier’s charges for tethering. There is also a new email icon that allows you to create filters or change email forwarding straight from your desktop. Although the 5.0.1.18 is not yet available over the weekend the 5.0.1.16 version was leaked by our German friends over at benezblog. Source – crackberry.com
