Now there’s a thought. HTC seem to be moving more towards the Android platform for their mobile phones, so with this in mind mobilitysite speculates on who will take up that slack in the Windows Mobile arena.

They put forward as a likely candidate Korea’s LG. Apparently according to an LG press release LG is already the 3rd biggest mobile phone vendor, and they have announced 3 new mobile phones running Windows Mobile 6.5 for the Windows Mobile market.

But those 3 Windows Mobile 6.5 handsets are just the beginning as LG states they will launch thirteen Windows Mobile based handset before 2010 is out. So it is possible LG could take up the slack left by HTC moving further into Android.
