The Novothink Solar Surge is the only solar charging unit on the market and has now gained the official thumbs up from Apple for the iPhone and iPod touch.
The Solar Surge case features an integrated solar panel which should yield some 30 minutes of talk time on 3G or 60 minutes on 2G after being exposed to 2 hours of sunlight.
Furthermore, the battery is a rechargeable 1500 mAh which delivers 120 percent capacity of the iPhone 3G. The Solar Surge for iPod Touch cost $70 and becomes available later this month while the iPhone 3GS and iPhone 3G version will be seen in Q4 for approximately the same pricing.
