Sprint has finally confirmed they will be stocking the HTC Hero smartphone sometime in October, according to an article over on pocket-lint. Finally our buddies over the pond will gain the HTC Hero which is already available over here in the good ole UK.

The American version of the HTC Hero will carry the same feature set as the UK version, but will of course work on the Sprint network and for some reason loses its chin.

Price wise, Sprint will provide the HTC Hero for $179.99 on a two year agreement and be available via all Sprint channels as of October the 11th.
