Sonim XP2 survives FCC tests and passes through

Sonim, known for their ultra rugged mobile phones has now had their new XP2 rugged handset passed through the numerous tests of the FCC reports engadget mobile.

The Sonim XP2 certainly can’t be mistaken for a fashion phone, and the XP2, which has been dubbed “Sprint” is Sonim’s first handset to carry 3G. The Sonim XP2 has a tiny display though and a rather unusual octagonal housing which no doubt will be a great survivor.

No word on any other specs for the Sonim XP2 but we all know that Sonim handsets are built for durability and survival.
