The other day, Noah of phone dog received a box with the Verizon Droid logo as part of Verizon’s marketing campaign for the upcoming Android Motorola Droid smartphone, which was sent out to various members of the media.

Now, unfortunately, and as Noah expected the box didn’t contain a pre-production model of the Motorola Droid for evaluation purposes, but he did the unboxing anyway, and made the video which can be viewed below.

Inside the box, Noah found a remote control Star Wars R2-D2 toy, the reason for this is apparently Star Wars Supremo George Lucas owns the rights to the word Droid, and hence the Star Wars toy.
