Rogers Wireless in Canada are launching the LG Eve on contract or without contract which is good news, Rogers was the first carrier to give you Android smartphones in Canada and it started with the HTC Dream and Magic.

Now they are giving you the LG Eve Android handset which will come pre-loaded with the Social Networks Manager app, which is superb for the likes of Bebo, Twitter and Facebook. Is this going to be a smartphone you would buy is the question considering there are many other hot phones coming to the market?

You can buy the Rogers Wireless LG Eve on contract for $49.99 or without contract for $399.99; the main features of the LG Eve include Wi-Fi, 7.2Mbps HSPA, sliding QWERTY keypad, 3″ touchscreen display, GPS, 5 megapixel camera and much more. For more information please visit BGR

I like Rogers bringing in new line of products like the android unfortunately it’s a disappointing that they only concentrating on selling the product. Most people get android because of updated firmware just like Apple iphone but Rogers offer no update since the last release of Android firmware 1.6 a month ago. Very disappointing.

Rogers has been good in bringing new line of products in but they are very poor updating their firmware. I have a HTC dream running firmware 1.5 cupcake . Firmware donut 1.6 has been released over a month and no words from them when i contacted them. Very disappointing!

I agree with Jim. I’ve been waiting to see what will happen with Donut, nothing still. I’m pretty disappointed, because I hear it improves overall performance and the Magic and Dream could definately benefit from that.

    Hey Jim,

Apparantly they might be trying to squeeze Android 2.0 on the Dream/Touch so be patient!
