The fight is on for mobile space between Apple and Google

The battle is about to get tougher for Apple and Google as the latest IDC report that claims Android will beat Apple’s iPhone to become the number 2 mobile OS by 2013.

However, the developers of the hit iPhone music application Tap Tap Revenge Tapulous have recently confirmed their intention of introducing a version of the software for Google’s Android OS.

Generating more than 25 million downloads on the App Store it has also recently been reported that Tapulous is making an amazing $1 million a month from them. With a combination of game sales and in app payments.

The IDC suggests that worldwide shipments of converged mobile devices or as we known them smartphones will surpass 390 million units. The market was once dominated by just a handful of pioneers including Blackberry, Symbian and Windows Mobile. To find out more on this story visit 9to5mac.com
