Cydia AppSync Updated for iOS 4.2.1: Guide

AppSync, which patches MobileInstallation file on iOS to be able to install .ips files without using iTunes has now been updated to version 4.2 for use with iOS 4.2.1 on a jailbroken iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad running iOS 4.2.1.

And the guys over at Redmond Pie and by way of Blogs DNA have come up with a five step instruction guide on how to grab AppSync 4.2, so if you want to download and install the updated version, here’s how…

First fire up Cydia on your iOS device, hit the “Manage” tab at the bottom, then hit “Sources.” Next you need to press “Edit” and then “Add,” and you should now see a prompt to enter a URL, so enter “http://cydia.hackulo.us“ Then click “Add Source.”

Cydia will now auto-update your sources and once installation is done, look for “AppSync for OS 4.2” in Cydia and install and the job is done. So if you have a jailbroken device and give it a go feel free to let us know how you get on.

  1. CCS says:

Because this is not apples release, Cydia is for people who jailbreak their I devices. Appsync is used so that you can open up cracked apps on iphone (illegally).

  2. The DUDe says:

CCS is quite misinformed, and its really too bad. So much internet available at CSS’s fingers and still parroting misinformation. Take the time to remember how to look things up for yourselves and you shall never be lead a stray.
