Cheapest Android Phone in India, Micromax Andro A60

If you are in India and on the lookout for a cheap Android platform handset you may like to check out Indian phone manufacturer Micromax as apparently they are launching what they say is the cheapest Android phone in India.

According to an article over on Unwired View by Florin, and by way of AndroidOS, Micromax has announced the Android A60 smartphone which is apparently a rebranded ZTE Penguin, and the Andro A60 will command a price tag of only 6999 INR which is roughly $152.

And what do India’s Android faithful get for their 6999 INR? Well the Micromax Andro A60 offers a 2.8 inch QVGA resistive touch screen, 3.2 megapixel camera with auto-focus, voice assisted GPS navigation, HSDPA, WiFi, Bluetooth, 600 MHz processor, Swype keyboard and Android 2.1 operating system.

Apparently there is a dedicated Android A60 website called MyFirstAndroid where the device will be launced and an opportunity to win one of these smartphones, so check it out if you fancy your chances.
