Mobile Phone Charity Collection Rewarded with Jedward Visit

It appears that collecting mobile phones for recycling for children’s charity Jack and Jill Foundation has brought a reward for pupils St Colmcille’s National School in Knocklyon, Dublin, Ireland, after collecting 2293 old mobile handsets.

According to an article over on the Irish Times, the pupil’s reward for their efforts for the Jack and Jill Foundation brought a reward of a visit from Ireland terrible twin twosome, Jedward.

Apparently the school kids were unaware of their reward until Jedward, who performed for US president Barak Obama at College Green last month in Dublin, charged through the hall doors followed by security, gardia, and a multitude of media men.

The 2293 mobile phones collected will raise funds for the Jack and Jill Foundation that delivers respite and nursing care for 300 brain-damaged children that suffer physical and intellectual development delay.

Personally I’m not too sure if a visit from Jedward could be looked on as a “reward,” but that’s just me, the kids however did deserve a reward for their charitable efforts in helping to raise funds for such a worthy cause.
