iPhone 4S in jeopardy of Android switch: 4 Problems

How about one bag containing the iPhone 4S, problems and choice change, shake this up a little and this results in the new iPhone 4S in jeopardy of an Android switch.

Where are we going with this? Please let us explain, we report news on all the hot products and when we got our hands on the Apple iPhone 4S, we were very impressed indeed.

Problem One – Siri Assistant: This is a great feature at first, it can be useful at times but in reality it is just as quick to do the tasks yourself, come on how long does it take for you to open text messages, or set a reminder, or turn on the timer or alarm, search the web. Siri in the UK cannot give directions or even search for business, because Apple has not flipped the switch and probably not got a deal with say Yell in the UK.

Problem Two — Over Heating: We are not the only ones experiencing problems with the over heating on the iPhone 4S, we have noticed that if you watch a video or search the web for long periods of times the phone gets very hot indeed. It gets even hotter when you are playing games from the iPhone 4S to the TV using AirPlay Mirroring, not happy about this at all, the two processors are happily working twice as fast but is also happy in making the phone twice as hot.

Problem Three — Freezing: The iPhone 4S is freezing up during calls, whilst playing apps, as well as using Siri. We have had the new smartphone since Friday and so far the screen has frozen whilst using Siri, half way through a phone call with a friend it goes all quite, leaving me to tap the “End Call” button, but for some reason it will not end the call because it has frozen leaving us to boot down and then back up again.

Problem Four – Battery Life: The battery life is very bad indeed, but we have found out what the problem is. The battery life was really bad but we turn off iCloud on all Apple products in the office and turned off Siri, this gave us a much better battery life. But what is the point of Siri or iCloud if we have to switch them off to reserve battery life? Stupid.

Hopefully we are not having a few bad days and just venting off, but we are most certain that we are not the only ones experiencing the same problems. Please do let us know if any of the issues mentioned above is happening to you.

Is this the case of “iPhone 4S in jeopardy of Android switch?”

Mine is freezing up, Siri not responding or not connecting to the network, ipod not playing songs or playing the wrong song, battery life sucks, icloud not backing up right, crashing when opening photo album…. I was soooo excited to get this phone, but I’m getting pretty disappointed. I have reset and restored this phone 4 times now!

    I have two 4S phones…mine and my wife’s.

Mine has been flawless; everything works fast with no issues at all. My wife’s phone freezes frequently, however.

We have vastly different app libraries, but other than that, identical phones.

Would hate to go to Android, but I am having many of those issues. I essentially bought the 4S for Siri
And hasn’t worked in two days! (on Rogers) both Rogers and Apple could not help me except to say
I need to wait. Why did I spend over $800 for the phones main selling feature when it doesn’t even frickin work!!

Don’t get me wrong, when it works it’s great…but needs to be reliable.

And whoever said they can go just as fast typing all the things that Siri does is ridiculous!

Yes, that and when you switch from iPhone to Android iMessage latches onto your phone number and anyone you used to text through iMessage cannot text you without turning off iMessage.

I’ve spent a total of 8 hours on the phone with Apple now and they can’t figure out the problem.  Their solution?  Wait 30 days in hopes of my AppleID account lapsing and fixing itself.

They have offered me zero comepensation and expect me to eat my phone bill while I can’t use the full functions due to their incompetance.

Unreal.  I am being forced to be an Apple customer when I want to be an Android customer.

    It’s a common problem…So beware.
