Quite often new smartphones can come bundled with exclusive goodies or software features for certain carriers, which is often just a little way for networks to tempt consumers their way. Over in the US Motorola’s Droid Razr MAXX HD on Verizon Wireless will feature the NFL Mobile application already installed.

As it is being reported by mobilebloom the NFL application is exclusive to Verizon in the US and will keep users up to date with all that happens to their favourite football team. This includes all the teams’ latest news and scores and comes pre-installed on the device after the handset was recently released on the network.

Customers of the carrier first got access to the Droid Razr MAXX HD on October 18th and it is currently available at the introductory price of $199.99, and for your money you get a smartphone with a 4.7-inch Super AMOLED Advanced HD touchscreen. This provides a pixel density of 312ppi from a resolution of 720 x 1280, and under the hood is a dual core 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Plus MSM8960 processor with 1GB of RAM.

Protecting the device is a special splash proof layer added to both the interior and exterior of the device, and Corning Gorilla Glass is used to protect the screen from scratches. The Razr MAXX HD was launched running the Android Ice Cream Sandwich operating system, but should receive Jelly Bean before the end of the year.

One of the main selling points for the handset is the 3,300 mAh battery that is promised to provide up to 21 hours of talk time, 13 hours of video playback, and 27 hours of music streaming. Camera wise there is an 8MP rear shooter with a 1.8MP unit on the front, while there is 32GB of built in storage that can be expanded further via microSD card.
