Now according to an article over on Phondroid, the makers of Android Angry Birds, Rovio announced via their Twitter account that the quantity of download of Angry Birds for Android has doubled to 2 million as of the weekend.

Thus is appears Angry Birds has become a very popular mobile game with Android smartphone owners, and I do have to say I have managed to get the game myself and have to admit it is one very addictive game whereby you have to launch birds at the green pigs that have stolen the birds eggs, but I’m sure you know how the game goes.

I did attempt to grab the game from Getjar but their serve was way too overloaded on that first day, but for those who still haven’t grabbed Angry Birds for Android you can do so by visiting the Android Market on your smartphone.
