Motorola Droid 2 Update Version 2.2.20: How’s It Going?

The Motorola Droid 2 has received the new update (Version 2.2.20) and we want to know if you have downloaded it yet, how’s it going?

This new update is only minor and adds a few improvements such as enabled text and picture message scrolling, streamlined set up of Visual Voice Mail feature, improved contact sync with Corporate Exchange categories and groups and view accurate contact pictures when reviewing Recent Call Log.

Please let us know if you have had notification of this new D2 software update and if you have installed yet, according to Droid-Life Verizon is now offering two types of software loading: server initiated and user initiated.

From August 24th OTA server initiated updates will be available, please do let us know as soon as you have installed. We would love to know if the installation went smoothly, have you had any problems at all, what is the best part of the update, etc.

All of my company's users lost their ability to get email from our corporate Microsoft Exchange server after this update. We have no idea what Verizon did to break this.

Motorola is in charge of the update. VZW only accepts the update. Advise to contact the Motorloa team for support. VZW provides the phone and data services.
