New launch of the Samsung Max: First Indian CDMA open market phone

Samsung are going for it and want to make a stand on the Asian wireless market, and they hope to do this by releasing a brand new phone which is the CDMA Samsung Max and they want to release this as an open-market mobile phone offering.

Vice President and Head of the CDMA Division at Samsung Telecommunications India Pvt. Ltd Hyundai Kim said “We expect to fuel the growth of the Indian CDMA industry through the launch Samsung Max in the open market. Fully feature loaded Samsung Max is launched to serve the Multimedia needs of the CDMA consumer. The availability of CDMA phones in the open market will provide Indian consumers freedom to choose network operator’s of their choice.”

So will they love this mobile phone though is the question, so let us give you some details of the CDMA Samsung Max. Features include a 1.3 megapixel camera, expandable memory, Bluetooth, FM radio, R-UIM card support, 1.9-inch display to Tata Indicom and Reliance Mobile subscribers, MP3 player and voice recorder.

All customers will be able to choose either CDMA carrier as their wireless provider, do you not love the open market phone (Oh iPhone can you hear me). If you are in Mumbai or Delhi then you will be pleased to know that you can get your hands on the Samsung Max for Rs. 7,500 with a few other large cities expected to get the handset by December 2007.
