If you are expecting to see a Sony Ericsson PSP phone which has been rumoured off and on for ages then it is looking like you can forget all about it because it isn’t going to happen.

Apparently sources are now claiming Sony has refused Sony Ericsson

the use of the PlayStation branding even after Sony Ericsson made a pitch for the brand last year.

The result of this refusal has of course caused friction between the two companies and rumour had it they were already on shaky ground. Insiders say Sony is keeping the PSP brand to their selves which may well signal the end of the Sony Ericsson joint ventures in future.

We’ll have to keep a close eye on this one.
