Palm brings Flash to the Pre via Adobe Open Source Screen Project

My, my, it does look like Palm is going the extra yard to beat the Apple iPhone with features such as copy and paste, data tethering and now low and behold…Flash.

Yes you lucky Palm pre wannabees, Palm has joined Adobe’s Open Source Screen Project, which undoubtedly means…”the Open Screen Project will help deliver Adobe Flash Player for smartphones on the new Palm webOS platform.”

This then potentially opens the doors to Flash based applications and a whole new line of developers for the Palm Pre. The mobile Flash payer is due to arrive by the end of the year so hopefully we’ll know more by then.
