CTIA 2009: Wireless is answer to economic crisis says Verizon and T-Mobile

At CTIA 2009 trade show in Las Vegas, according to a report by cnet, company CEO’s are saying the mobile phone industry remains strong even though there is an economic meltdown, and they are confident that the mobile phone arena will be a driving force in bringing the nation out of financial crisis.

That’s a big claim I would think, however it was Verizon Communications CEO, Ivan Seidenberg, along with T-Mobile USA CEO, Robert Dotson, who were making the claims that the mobile market is “thriving” and agreed the mobile wireless industry could play a “significant role in the recovery” of the US.

Seidenberg further commented that the rest of the economy could learn a lesson from the mobile wireless industry by investing rather than cutting back.
