Android SDK gets pre-release update to 1.5 from Google

Yesterday evening, Google announced they are to make a pre-release version of their Android 1.5 SDK according to an article on Mobile Burn.

The word is the Android 1.5 OS will be based on the Cupcake branch of the open source OS and will feature such things as home screen widgets, speech recognition, virtual keyboards, and live folders.

There is also an updated version of the plug in for Eclipse Java programming environment, and apparently will allow developers to write applications for Android 1.1 and Android 1.5 and Android developers can grab themselves Android 1.5 SDK via here
