The word according to theregister.co.uk is that Nokia is transferring the Nokia widgets platform, WidSets over to Ovi so everything is under one roof as it were for when the Ovi Store launches next month.

Nokia did the same thing a while ago with Mosh, so we expect to see other Nokia services going the same avenue in order to support the Ovi Store.

Account holders of Nokia Widsets will have their accounts closed as of June the 1st, so presumably they will be able to download WidSet widgets through the Ovi Store.
