RIM release push API to consumer software developers

The popular BlackBerry push technology is being injected into the consumer arena by Research In Motion via 3rd party developers writing apps that can tap into the push tech states a post on pcworld.

According to the VP of strategy and research at Interpret, Michael Gartenberg, this move by Research In Motion could bring many more mainstream customers into mobile email, and that push can be revolutionary when it comes to email.

RIM released on Monday, to developers of consumer software a push API whereby the developers with be able to make apps that could include web based email along with other tools.
