So you’ve just woken up and have been faced with the dreaded pink screen of death PSoD together with the horrifying icon telling you to plug into iTunes on an otherwise non functioning iPhone.

Don’t despair, for some reason Apple timed iPhone 3.1 Beta 2 to expire July 28th at 12am local time. However they have kindly released iPhone 3.1 Beta 3 the day before. So all you need is to hit developer.apple.com download and install the fresh new firmware…until the next expiry?

Apple intends beta software to run only for testing purposes, not actual iPhones for daily use. Here’s hoping that Apple doesn’t leave things as close to the wire next time. Please visit here for more info
