There is to be a low cost BlackBerry Curve 8520 released with Airtel & RIM in Indian. Which is fantastic news if you have always wanted a BlackBerry, it has an affordable price of only Rs 15,990/-.

The BlackBerry Curve 8520 it’s lighter than the lightest BlackBerry by 3.9 grams. This phone has talk time of 4.5 hours, 2 megapixel camera, 17 days of standby time and 1150 mAhr. It is 4.0mm thinner than the 8900.

It has keys to help play music, skip tracks and pause to talk and you can also mute calls using a dedicated button. The Blackberry Curve 8520 comes with a 3.5mm stereo handset jack, social networking apps and IM is made comfortable to access and BlackBerry messenger is preinstalled.

According to RIM’s plan skins are available in six assorted colours for the Curve 8520, it also has a touchpad which has separate multimedia keys. BlackBerry Map and GPS are not on the handset but can be added yourself, this has a cost of 15,990/- and the service plan is Rs 299/-.
