Apple Event News 2009: Steve Jobs is on form with new announcements

Steve Jobs the Apple boss has made his first public appearance after a long break, yes nearly a year he has been away from the spotlight and today he made his appearance at the Apple Event September 9 (Today).

Some of the things talked about at this event was the announcement of iPhone OS 3.1 which adds many news features and of course bug fixes.

Steve Jobs went through a liver transplant in a Tennessee hospital and the last time he was seen on stage in the public eye was back in October 2008, the event today also addressed outline updates to music players like the iPod Nano and iPod Touch.

Steve Jobs said (Source – BBC News) “”As some of you may know, about five months ago I had a liver transplant, so I now have the liver of a mid-20s person who died in a car crash and was generous enough to donate their organs.”

Other things mentioned included the iPod Nano featuring a video camera, pedometer and FM radio and the new 64GB iPod Touch. So far to date Apple has sold way over 30-million handsets and has produce more than 75,000 applications for the iPhone with 1.8bn apps downloaded.
