Assume AT&T, others will make peace with Google Voice

Since the launch earlier this summer, Google Voice has given carriers some worrying issues.

The biggest pitfall for the carriers would be the widespread adoption of Google Voice which could enable their networks ’dumb pipes’ which don’t offer users any of the value added services. Google Voice was actually designed to make things easier for us Google voicers to change mobile carriers without having to sacrifice their mobile numbers.

Another thing offered from Google Voice is the ability to provide simultaneous ringing for both your landline and your wireless devices using the same number and it can also serve as a hub for SMS it will allow users to send text messages from any of their devices or even over the Web on their computer.
