Sprint Reduces Accessory Packaging Size, Waste and Cost

Sprint has announced the launch of a redesigned environmentally friendly packaging for their wireless accessory products and beginning this month accessories sold online and at Sprint retail will be packed in fully recyclable packaging which is 20% to 40% smaller reports Reuters.

Apparently this move will save Sprint an estimated 647 tons of waste yearly and the new accessory packaging is expected to deliver a 35 percent reduction in accessory packaging costs which could deliver an annual saving of about $2.1 million.

Now that is a lot of waste saved and costs savings too and all by redesigning and recycling packaging apart from the benefits to the environment, good going Sprint.
