Why Verizon CDMA iPhone, better LTE network is better!

Now many of you including us have asked about the all new iPhone 4G, iPhone 2010 and of course one of the main questions was “when will we get to see the Apple iPhone on the Verizon network?” well we have a few thoughts that we would love to share with you.

We mentioned not so long ago “Will Verizon launch and ship CDMA iPhone in 2010?” but after some thought is there any point to a new CDMA iPhone on the Verizon network, why can’t they just build a better LTE network, surely this will open more paths for more phones in the future.

Ok so AT&T were going to lose exclusivity for the iPhone in the U.S at some point in 2010, but we cannot see that happening when you think AT&T have the all new Apple iPad Tablet, this surely tells you that Apple is keeping AT&T sweet and the relationship between the two is still pretty much a love affair.

Is there still a Verizon Apple iPhone deal still on the table and if so when will the negotiations be finalized, there is no CDMA version of the iPad so why will there be a CDMA version of the iPhone for Verizon. Verizon do yourself a favour and just build a better LTE network that will give you a better chance of many more phones for the future.

Clearly who ever wrote this has no clue about this industry. Posing a question doesn’t really make much for informative content.

It’s great to tell someone to “just build a better network” but that don’t make it so since it takes time and development. ATT’s own 3G network, though technically fastest, can’t handle the load of the iPhone (and soon iPad) in it’s biggest markets.

Chances are you would see a CDMA iPhone sooner than LTE. Of course on which network can only be assumed since Verizon passed (or maybe Apple passed) on the iPhone from the beginning. Since CDMA is more of a power drain on a phone you might have them shy away from that tech.

  2. The above, is the dumbest, stupidest, most poorly written statement/opinion of anyone I have ever read. Yes – Verizon will of course be coming out with a CDMA iPhone, and just because the iPad is only currently available through AT&T (the 3G version service that is) is no reason to think that it won\’t be made available on other carriers at some point in the near future, when the exclusivity deal expires (it hasn\’t quite run out yet, but it\’s almost there). Before you write something, valdiate your facts and take some grammar lessons.

i really dont get about this verizon iphone….
verizon sucks… okay it is no where near ready to support the data at&t is a good network,…….
    verizon isnt. im sorry

  4. Verizon is a way more advanced network than at&t. At&t has so many problems with its network. At&t can barley hold the iPhones on its network, and when the iPad come you can surely say goodbye to your service because At&t can’t even sustain high traffic areas like san fransico. As verizon has way better customer ratings and is america’s largest and most reliable network.

  5. Also verizon will be the first carrier in the u.s. to have its 4g lte netowrk up in at least 25-30 markets by the end of 2010. Which is alot more than you can say for At&t who is going to start test in 2011 and will not roll it out unitl 2012. All this talk about verizon being a bad network is crap. Verizon may not be fast but it is reliable, which most customers im sure would much rather be able to talk on the phone and not get dropped then be able to download a 50mb file in like 3 mins. Speed is not always everything. Also if Verizon were to get the iPhone I am almost sure that most of At&t’s iPhone customers will switch jsut because of its coverage and service. Verizon invest at least 5 billion a year in its network which is alot more than i can say for At&t. It has taken them this long to invest 2 billionin there network to meet the demands of there customers, as to were verzon is already prepared to handle the data traffic that the iPhone demads. So before you go and start critsizing verizon think of some of the negatives that At&t has, I am sure that they way out verizons negatives.

For the record, in the rural area where I live AT&T has shoty coverage and in some places none at all, where as Verizon has it covered. I run my Business with my itouch and Cell it would be nice to have those be one device and the droid just is not as user friendly. I am an Apple Man and they only stand to gain market share by opening it up to verizon. You guys can argue geek lingo, I am thinking practical.

it would be a great news if iphone comes with verizon as the at&t is the worst network i have ever seen and if we compare it to verizon then it is far more better and iphone can definitely come with verizon like the blackberry storm 9550 as it supports both the networks CDMA and GSm as per Europian requirements so it is really possible for apple yo make a verizon iphone and make the costumers happy as in the US verizon has the highest costumers and if it supports 4g so that will be great as it would be the first one to get 4G network worldwide.

Why would i want a misleading ‘map’ of verizon 3g coverage? I cant even run the mobile tv app on my verizon phone outside of cities. If you go to verizon website it clearly shows that you cant run the app out of cities. Even if the iphone came to verizon you would at best get to run a third of the apps outside of city limits. both companies suck in their own way. its always going to be like that. so all you verizon and att fanatics get over it. verizon is too controlling and thats why the iphone will never come to verizon. thats the reason why it wasn’t released on verizon. verizon wanted to dumb the iphone down. and by the way. my brother has the iphone and has no problems with it what so ever. so people. get your ‘facts’ straight before you go online and talk crap.

Wow! Was it just me or was this a really poorly written article? There are several areas in this article that I’m not even sure what the author is trying to say. I want a job here. I provide this kinda quality, plus!

HAHAHA! Raise your hand if you work for a cell phone company….IF you raised your hand and you work for Verizon then you know your network is not crap because it doesn't cover large amounts of people is is crap because it is slow and laggy and unreliable when it comes to using data. Don't deny it. I work for Verizon and i have an iPhone and i know that our network is garbarge when it comes to data usage. If you sit my DROID next to my iPhone and you try to do the same things then you will see immediately that the iphone is faster and work VERY well on their GSM network.

  11. Dave says:

Now if you are an iphone owner and you are used to using your iphone efficiently and with blazing fast speed and then you jump to verizon where it will be like using AOL in 95 you are going to be pissed. I agree at&t's coverage is poor but the quality far exceeds verizon's at this point. And the odds of Verizon getting the iPhone are SLIM at best. Bashing someone's product for 3 years and then asking to have it wouldn't go over that well i don't think…plus apple has made it abundently clear that they are looking for global coverage….can you do that Verizon? Verizon needs to stick with what they have and build their own success (as they have been doing) with other phones and improving their network. Not jumping on the band wagon of the iphone. Last i looked the Android devices were outselling iPhones by a fairly large margin. Also check out some of the articles and the coverage they are going to lose when they switch to LTE … towers aren't as strong as what they have now….so how will they fill those gaps?
