Red Bend vRapid and vDirect Mobile Software hits 680 Million handsets
The market leaders in Mobile Software Management, Red Bend Software has announced that their vDirect Software and vRapid Software has now shipped in 680 million mobile phones globally through 2009 from such mobile phone makers as Motorola, HTC, LG, Sony Ericsson, and ZTE reports an article over on trading markets.
Back in 2008 137 Red Bend enabled devices were shipped but during 2009 the number of Red bend enabled devices shipped rose to 246, which is an 80% year over year increase.
Furthermore, during Q4 Red Bend renewed a top manufacturer contract along with signing 5 new customers for 57 licensees of their standards based cross platform solutions for device mobile management and software updating.
Although according to IDC, worldwide handset shipments have declined 5.2% in 09 market demand of Red Bend firmware OTA updating software and Open Mobile Alliance Device management client was strong.
