Kyocera Announce Android Zio at CTIA 2010

Now here’s a turn up for the books, during CTIA 2010, Kyocera has jumped back into the smartphone space with the announcement of the Kyocera Zio, a low to mid range Android smartphone reports an article over on pcmag.

The Kyocera Zio sports an 3.5 inch full touch screen, 600 MHz Qualcomm MSM 7227 processor, 3G, CDMA, 3.2 megapixel camera, Bluetooth, WiFi, 512MB internal memory, microSD expansion up to 32GB, and runs Android 1.6 OS.

Apparently Kyocera has stated that the Kyocera Zio is user upgradeable to Android 2.1 but is not a “Google Experience” smartphone, and is expected to his the States sometime in the spring.

Price wise, the Kyocera Zio should be one of the least expensive smartphones in the US commanding an affordable price tag of between $169 and $216 off contract.
