Square is an app that is a mobile payment system that will securely and quickly allow you to accept payments via your mobile phone, good news is that the app is now live for the Apple iPhone, the iPad and Android.

Features include the likes of generating emails and SMS receipts for card payments and cash, it will also show frequently sold items and even calculate sales tax with the iPad. Love the fact it can visualize and manage all monies you take with an intuitive web-based interface.

There will be a small square card reader gadget that will go into the 3.5mm headphone jack for this to all work, the firm is giving these away for free to those that sign up.
