It appears that the iPhone Dev Team has successfully unlocked the iPhone 4 as iPhone Dev Team member planetbeing has pushed out a couple of photos showing an AT&T iPhone 4 playing nice up in Canada on Bell.

According to an article over on Engadget by way of @planetbeing, there still isn’t any hard timeline for a release of the iPhone 4 carrier unlock. The article also says that several of Engadget’s readers have stated that the photos aren’t proof of unlock, as an AT&T iPhone 4 can roam on the Bell network.

However the guys do say that as the photos are from a member of the iPhone Dev Team they are optimistic. Planetbeing tweeted “My soft-unlocked iPhone 4 (in Canada). I’ll have video in a couple of hours once I can top-up the SIM.”
