Android, BlackBerry, Palm Devices Going Prepaid with Verizon

For those that simply don’t like signing their life away on contract for a smartphone there is of course always the prepaid option, and word has it the Big Red is about to offer some prepaid action on several of their devices.

According to an article over on Mobile Crunch by Simon Chester, and by way of Android Does, Verizon Wireless will soon offer most of their Android smartphone which included the Droid line up along with the Samsung Fascinate once it’s available, several RIM BlackBerry smartphones, and both Palm Plus devices on prepaid.

Apparently these smartphones will become available on Verizon’s Prepaid Monthly Talk and Monthly Talk & Text plans. No word on any device pricing as yet though, but word is all handsets will require a $30 unlimited email/data package along with a minimum $45 a month voice plan.

No solid word on just when the Big Red will start offering the prepaid option on their handset as yet, other than it may happen soon.
