Research In Motion Encourages Employees To Get Hairy

Not really about the legendary Research In Motion BlackBerry smartphones but it is all in the name of charity so we’d though we’d give this a little shout out. Word is RIM wants their employees to grow some facial fuzz for a very worthy cause.

According to an article over on Gizmodo by Brian Barrett, and by way of Reddit, BlackBerry maker Research In Motion has asked their workforce to grow moustaches in a contest which runs from the 1st of November to the first of December.

Apparently whoever grows the best moustache wins the contest. There is a contest entry fee of $5 which is donated to prostrate cancer Canada and is only open to employees of Research In Motion. There are a few rules the employees much abide by such as being clean shaven as of the 1st of November, and no hair below the lower lip, so moustaches only guys.

Have to give kudos to Research In Motion for putting on a great contest in aid of a worthy cause as prostate cancer research, well done RIM. I wonder if the female employees feel left out.
