iPhone 5 & iPad 3 4G LTE-Ready via AT&T Document, not likely

Can it really be true that the iPhone 5 and iPad 3 will be 4G LTE-ready? This is a question that many are asking after the recent AT&T documents were leaked online.

The leaked documents comes via six hackers (Not Named) but do go by the name of LulzSec, the documents that can be seen here (Google Docs) suggests that AT&T is soon to rollout 4G LTE network.

Now we know quite a lot, but the documents are intended for highly technical bodies with an understanding of telecommunication engineering, the terms are easy to read if you are in the know but for most they are hard to follow. Like Redmond Pie say “everyone can appreciate: hints of an LTE-ready iPad”, this part of the document we can all understand.

iFans Jonathan Kizer went through the files that were released by LulzSec and this is where the LTE findings for the iPhone 5 and iPad 3 were highlighted. Apparently new testing will include the iPad new activations HLS using the new rate plan, the LTE-ready iPad is likely to be the new iPad 3 that is possibly going to be released in 2012 featuring a new display, higher resolution and a much faster processor.

Looking into the future a little, we cannot see the iPhone 5 be LTE-ready it is more likely that the iPhone 6 will feature LTE connectivity, in fact we can say the iPhone 6 will be a definite in 2012.

The leaked document lists the Apple iPhone 5 as September release this year; it also suggests that it will include 3 phases to the LTE network rollout. Apparently pointing to potential LTE-ready iPhone 5, personally we say “Not Likely”, just our opinion.

Once again please check out the full leaked AT&T document here, this is a 16-page presentation, see what you think and let us know your thoughts.
