Ice Cream Sandwich for Sony Ericsson Xperia 2011 Portfolio confirmed

Let’s face it every Android device owner wants their device to get updated to Android Ice Cream Sandwich at some point in the future, and apparently the Sony Ericsson forums have been getting questioned as to which devices will receive the Android 4.0 update.

Thus according to the guys over at Ubergizmo, the Sony Ericsson blog has now gone official in confirming which of their Android devices will be updated to Android Ice Cream sandwich at some point in the future.

Sony Ericsson has confirmed that their entire 2011 Xperia portfolio will indeed get upgraded to Android 4.0 and are currently working on merging the Xperia experience with the new features in Android Ice Cream Sandwich.

So the devices that will get upgraded to Android 4.0 will be the Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc, Sony Ericcson Xperia Arc S, Xperia Neo, Xperia Neo V, Xperia Pro, Xperia Active, the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play, Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray, Xperia Mini and Xperia Mini Pro along with the Sony Ericsson Live with Walkman.

Naturally Sony Ericsson isn’t forthcoming with an actually timeframe for the Android 4.0 update but do say they will keep their users posted on timing and global availability via their blog.

So there you have it, no more guessing, not more ifs or buts, Sony Ericsson has now officially confirmed which devices will be upgrades so customers should have no more need to question whether their device will or will not see Android 4.0.
