Ask Ziggy: Windows Phone answer to Apple Siri
Just about everyone knows that the best thing to come with the iPhone 4S is the Siri voice assistant, and since Siri made its debut on the iOS smartphones other platforms such as Android have been wanting their own version of the app, Android has managed to do this to some extent but Siri still commands in the voice assistant game.
Now according to an article over on The Next Web by way of WPCentral, Microsoft’s Windows Phone as a Siri competitor of their own in an app called Ask Ziggy, which is a 3rd-party application that has been designed to bridge the gap between Windows Phone 7 and iOS.
Ask Ziggy for Windows Phone has been created by developer Shai Leib, and is apparently a free app for Windows Phone and according to Leib who gave an interview to the WPCentral guys, Ask Ziggy utilises speech recognition to translate speech in transcribed text and then displayed in a speech bubble.
The Ask Ziggy app for Windows Phone device is an ad free application and available from the Windows Phone Marketplace, and will apparently be receiving an update in the not too distant future, and the guys say Ask Ziggy isn’t a gimmick but a really impressive app.
