HTC Desire C pictured and detailed by Vodafone: Update

It appears that over in Portugal, old Vodafone has jumped the gun a bit, and apparently included the as yet unannounced HTC Desire C Android smartphone in their catalogue for May, and posted a picture along with some details on specification of the new Android smartphone, and then speedily removed them once they realised their mistake.

However, the guys over at Phone Arena by way of GSM Arena have grabbed that HTC Desire C picture and details and thus we now know what the entry level handset looks like and what the device has to offer potential customers.

As one can seen by the image above, the HTC Desire C resembles the other handsets HTC offers, and as for the spec details, well the HTC Desire C will pack Android Ice Cream Sandwich of course.

Other specs for the Desire C include a 3.5-inch HVGA touch screen along with a 5 megapixel rear facing camera, a 600MHz single core processor, 4GB internal storage, no word on whether the handset will come with microSD expansion slot, WiFi, A-GPS, and 3.5G connectivity and HTC Sense UI.

Apparently a GSM Arena tipster has also said the HTC Desire C will come with a 1230mAh battery and should command a retail price below the 200 Euro mark, but obviously as the Android smartphone is still unannounced, pricing and availability can’t be confirmed just yet.

So there you have it the spec details and picture of the HTC Desire C, but will anyone be interested in this entry level ICS handset?

Update: We now have a first look at the HTC Desire C for your viewing pleasure courtesy of the guys over at Tech Radar, who also say that T-Mobile have confirmed they will stock the handset and will be available for $15.50 a month or on PAYG for £170 with a release set for sometime in June, and will also be available from every other provider.
